UiPath Maestro - orchestrating AI agents in the enterprise

UiPath Maestro allows you to combine AI agents, UiPath robots, business systems and human involvement in a single controlled process. This lets an organisation automate not just individual tasks, but entire service scenarios - with clear rules, decision escalation and a full history of actions.

What your organisation gains

Scaling service without linear headcount growth

AI agents support repetitive process steps, organise data and prepare recommendations, while a human is involved wherever a decision, approval or risk assessment is needed.

Shorter case handling times

Maestro moves a case through successive stages of the process: from qualifying the request, through gathering data from systems, to a recommendation or escalation to the right person.

A full history of actions and decisions

Every stage of the process can be recorded together with information on data sources, actions taken, decisions and escalations. This supports operational control, audit, and work in regulated environments.

Security and human-in-the-loop

In higher-risk processes, a human remains part of the decision loop. Implementation includes access rules, data control, usage monitoring and auditability of AI agent behaviour.

What we deliver on this project

Agentic automation strategy

We help determine which processes are worth automating with AI agents, which are better served by classic RPA, and which first require procedures to be put in order. The outcome is a rollout roadmap based on business case, risk and measurable impact.

UiPath Maestro implementation

We design and implement UiPath Maestro architecture: environments, integrations, roles, permissions, governance, escalation paths and monitoring rules.

Coded Agents and low-code agents

We build AI agents suited to the nature of the process - from low-code solutions in UiPath Agent Builder to more advanced scenarios using Coded Agents, API integrations and language models.

Integration with RPA, SAP and enterprise systems

We connect Maestro with existing UiPath robots, SAP processes, business systems, data and team tools. The goal is one coherent workflow, in which robots execute tasks, AI agents support analysis, and a human makes decisions wherever required.

AI Security Review

Before production launch we analyse the risks associated with AI use: data access, susceptibility to prompt manipulation, source control, permissions, action logging and escalation mechanisms. We refer, among others, to the OWASP LLM Top 10 and good AI security practice.

Governance and AI Act compliance

We support classification of AI solutions, preparation of a systems register, oversight rules, decision documentation and audit mechanisms. This allows agentic automation to be developed in a controlled way and in line with the organisation’s requirements.

How we deliver projects in this area

We start with process qualification. We check whether it requires analysis of data from multiple systems, exception handling, escalation to a human, or a long decision cycle. On this basis we assess whether the right solution is an AI agent, classic RPA, an Enterprise AI assistant, document automation, or a procedural change.

We then select one specific use case and build a Proof of Value. We verify business impact, security, recommendation quality, the way users work, and the solution’s running cost.

Once value is confirmed we prepare for production rollout: governance architecture, security rules, monitoring, human-in-the-loop for high-risk decisions, and an audit trail.

Where we have delivered similar solutions

Healthcare operator active in 21 countries

Together with the client we built an HR process platform supported by digital workers. The solution handles around 100,000 HR events a year and shortens onboarding from 10 days to 2 days.

Financial sector company

We prepared a concept for an AI agent supporting the KYC process - with access control to sources, an action history and an audit trail required in a regulated environment.

Industrial manufacturer

We designed a complaint-handling scenario in which an AI agent supports case qualification, data gathering, preparing a recommendation and passing the decision to the right team.

FAQ - UiPath Maestro - AI agents

How does agentic automation differ from RPA? +

RPA works well in stable, repeatable processes based on clearly defined steps. Agentic automation is the right choice where the process requires context analysis, working with data from multiple sources, exception handling, and handing decisions over to a human.

Does UiPath Maestro replace UiPath Studio? +

No. UiPath Studio still serves to build automations and bots. UiPath Maestro is the orchestration layer that lets you combine robots, AI agents, business systems and a human within a single process.

Are AI agents safe for critical data? +

They can be, provided they are implemented with the right security architecture: access control, restricted data sources, action logging, human-in-the-loop, monitoring, and a security review before production launch.

How much does UiPath Maestro cost? +

Cost depends on the scale of deployment, the number of processes, the scope of integrations, the use of AI agents, the existing UiPath environment, and the licensing model. SNOK helps analyse the options and match the scope of rollout to a real business case.
