Responsibilities
- Administering SAP systems and HANA, Oracle, ASE and MaxDB databases - monitoring, transports, kernel updates, system copies
- Contributing to upgrades and S/4HANA conversions, from preparatory tasks through to testing
- Monthly SAP Security Patch Day - analysing SAP Security Notes and helping to roll out the fixes
- Operating the SecurityBridge platform at client sites - triaging alerts, vulnerabilities and deviations from secure configuration
- Taking part in SAP security reviews led by senior consultants
Requirements
- Around one year of SAP Basis experience, or experience in related IT administration (Linux, databases, infrastructure) and a wish to move into SAP and enterprise-class IT infrastructure
- Good command of Linux and networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, ports, certificates)
- Interest in system security and a wish to learn it hands-on
- English good enough to work with SAP documentation
- Accuracy, diligence and a drive to grow
Nice to have
- Knowledge of SQL
- Exposure to SAP HANA or S/4HANA
- CTF experience, time on platforms such as Hack The Box or TryHackMe, or a home lab of your own
- An SAP, IT security or cloud certification, or a certification path already under way
